Thank you for attending our Poetry Slam last Friday. Our students were amazing! I am
very proud of them. Today I sent home a colored copy of their poem in their yellow folder.
I am still missing a few permission forms for our field trip on December 18th. If you haven't
sent it in, please do so. I really want all our students to attend. This week in math, our
students will be studying fractions. During science, they will be learning about soil.
Social studies lessons will be on the Texas Revolution. Language arts lessons will consist
of reading, writing, and analyzing biographies for the next few weeks. Our students
will be researching someone important, write about them, create a project about their person,
and present their report to the class. On Monday, our students will select a book about
the person they will research from our library. Please feel free to get additional books
from the public library.
