April has arrived! Our writers have been working diligently and our ready
for the STAAR writing tests this week. They will take the STAAR writing
tests on Tuesday, April 2nd, and on Wednesday, April 3rd. Each day the
students will answer revising and editing questions, and write a composition.
One day the composition will be a narrative and the other an expository.
Please help by making sure they get plenty of sleep each night, eat
a nutritious breakfast, and get to school early and on time.
The week before our reading and math STAAR test, fourth grade will be using
a theme of "Power up to STAAR." If you can help in decorating before
that week, please let me know. Also, we are still collecting Colored hair spray
for our Fourth grade booth, and baking/cooking items for silent auction
basket for our Spring Festival on April, 13th. If you are able to volunteer,
please fill out the volunteer form that was sent again on Thursday. Your
donations of items and time is always appreciated.
Our class is desperately in need of #2 pencils. We would appreciated any
you can donate.
