Our first week back was great! This week report cards will go home on Monday.
Tuesday morning at 8:45 a.m. we will honor our students at our Explorer
Excellence Award Ceremony in the cafeteria. We hope you can join us!
Our curriculum this week will consist of decimals in math. Earth's natural
science will continue to be taught in science. During social studies, our
students will learn about the Republic of Texas. In reading, we will
continue to read, study and analyze folktales. We will continue revising
and editing passages, and write a personal narrative this week in writing.
If you are able to volunteer with our Kiss- o- gram fundraiser, please
let me know. The fundraiser will enable us to attend field trips and
help us purchase items that we can use in class with our students this
year. I will send an additional Kiss- o - gram note this week, just in case you
didn't get to see the first one. We are still trying to find one or two parents
to be in charge of it with us. If your child has not returned his signed
CBA report with his scores in writing and reading, please send that with
him/her when you can.
