January 22nd -25th

We had a busy week! I hope you rested and enjoyed the three day weekend.
Tomorrow we will continue in reading to learn about different kinds of folktales
with "tricksters." We will read, analyze, and compare and contrast these folktales
with those we have read in the last two weeks.  We will be completing last week's
narrative and starting a new one in writing.  Adding and subtracting decimals
will be the focus in math.  During social studies our students will continue to
study about the Republic of Texas, and in science  learn various ways to conserve
natural resources.

Our Kiss-o-Gram fundraiser begins on Feb. 4th - 13th.  We are in need of
volunteers during the lunch hours.  Any amount of time you could help is greatly
appreciated.  We also need Hershey's kisses without nuts and small plastic
snack baggies.  Please send these in as soon as possible.  At this time we only
have one bag of kisses for our class to donate.  Any donation will be
appreciated.  If you volunteer, your child will be excused from class to help
you during that time.

As always, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Have a great week!
