Welcome to Fourth Grade!
It was a pleasure meeting you this past Wednesday during our Welcome Walk, and
on Thursday at Back to School Night.  I'm looking forward to a wonderful school year
with each of you!  This week we will begin by establishing a community.  On Monday,
throughout the day, Mrs. Ripley and I will bring our classes together to become acquainted
with each other for various lessons and engagements.  Throughout the week, we will
continue to spend time establishing goals, expectations, and community building with our
students. Today your child will be bringing home the Parent-Student Handbook.  Please
review this with them, sign the last page of the handout and send it with them on Tuesday.
Other important forms are also enclosed.  It is of utmost importance that you complete
the Student Information sheet (blue form).   This enables me to learn more about your child
and assists me in reaching his/her academic and social success this school year.  For
homework this week, students are assigned to read 20 minutes daily.  Please sign
the reading log form in their agenda.  This form will be returned to me on Monday with
your signature.  Also they have been assigned a "Name Poster".  This is due on
Thursday, August 29th.  Directions and construction paper is in their Homework folder.

Communication is absolutely important to me!  Please feel free to contact me if you have
any questions or concerns this school year.  I am eager and enthusiastic about working
as a team with you and your child for their academic and social success!
Have a wonderful week!

Becky Gloria
